Somebody…
I AM,
A Warrior…
Therefore I AM,
Victorious…
And that’s because I AM,
A child of God!!!
TNS #2 "It's all on how You See it"
But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair;
persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
Paul knew what it meant to go through hard times.
He experienced hard times.
He had been to prison, he had 40 men conspire to kill him, look at this...
When it was day, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
You talk about being stressed out, worried, living in fear.
Paul understood the hardships of life we all go through...
He was a wanted man, but this did not stop his commitment to God.
How many here know what it is to go through some hard times???
I want to talk about this for a bit...
Even those of us who have dedicated our lives too God, still experience hard times.
Hard times don’t just stop when you give your life to Christ.
As a matter of fact I believe that the enemy tries that much harder to make our lives a living hell.
But what I want you to get is that, It’s all on how You See it!!!
You can look at what Paul say’s and see we are afflicted, see perplexed, see persecuted, and see struck down.
Or you can see Not crushed, Not driven to despair, Not forsaken, and Not destroyed.
All of us have an opportunity to look at our situations the way we want to.
We all go through things but it’s up to us on how we want to see it.
Why do you think we usually look at the negative rather than the positive???
God will not give you more than you can handle
How many of us have heard this before???
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
You are not alone… You have the ability to overcome everything the enemy throws at you.
And let me say the beginning again… No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man.
In other words there is nothing, that you will go through that someone else hasn’t already gone through it themselves.
In other words regardless of what you are faced with, you CAN overcome it!!!
It might be a new demon to you, but someone already went through that and beat that level.
With God you will always have a way of escape.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
You and I are going to face some stuff but with God on our side we will endure it.
It’s all on how you see it, are you going to look at waters and say it’s to high i’m drowning, i’m overwhelmed or are you going to see that God will be with You?
Are you going to look at the fire and say it’s to late I’m going to burn, or are you going to see that God will not allow the fire to consume you.
always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
Paul carried the death of Christ with him at all times.
Jesus went through hardships even unto death, and if He could get through all that He went through we can get through anything the enemy is throwing at us today.
But again; It's all on how You See it.
YOU can see the death of Christ or you can choose to see the Life of Christ.
What He did for us!!!
What’s the importance, in holding unto the death of Jesus for Paul???
So if it was important for Paul is it important for us to hold on to Jesus death???
(If we always have this with us we will always remember what life is all about.)
Extra Point
Many people hold on to death, when we need to remember the life they lived, and also remember to keep living our own lives.
